Life at St Petroc’s begins at three months of age in our thriving Day Care Nursery.
Seahorses is open for 51 weeks of the year from 8.00 am until 6.00 pm.
Our nursery provides the highest level of care in stimulating surroundings. There are a wide range of activities which enable the children to develop individually in an exceptionally nurturing environment.
Seahorses has been established for nearly ten years and has gained an excellent local reputation. All our boys and girls are afforded the best possible start.
As part of the Foundation Stage ( 0 – 5 years ) the Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.
Accommodation is of a high quality with bright spacious rooms as well as a very large garden and play area outside.
The staff are well-qualified and exceptionally caring. The key worker system is incorporated within our two age groups known as Little Turtles and Sea Lions.
There are regular trips to the beach and the Seahorse children are able to take full advantage of the school’s facilities.
When the children are ready they move on to the Kindergarten in the Foundation Stage at about three years of age.
