Level 3 (minimum) Early Years Practitioner

To start as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated practitioner to join our team within the Early Years at St Petroc’s.

 

We are looking for someone who works well as part of a team, who is proactive and who develops positive relationships with staff and pupils. 

 

Hours can be full time (40 hours) or part time, a minimum of 20 hours Monday to Friday. 

 

The successful candidate will be expected to continue their professional development, attending courses provided by both internal and external providers.

Nursery Manager

To start - as soon as possible

 

We are looking for an inspirational Nursery Manager who will be responsible for the management and delivery of high quality education at St Petroc’s.  You will have line management responsibilities and be a proven leader.

We are interested to hear from candidates that would be seeking either a short term interim role or a permanent role.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take the nursey to the next level.

Requirements:

  • Applications are welcome from candidates with NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education or higher

  • Have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a childcare setting

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience of working in a management role in a childcare setting

  • Be an exceptional leader and effectively lead a nursery team

  • Have a solid knowledge of the EYFS

  • Be flexible with working hours

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively to colleagues and all stakeholders

The key responsibilities of this post include:

  • Ensuring daily operational management of the nursery should be kept in line with the St Petroc’s mission statement and policies, the Children Act 2004/6 and other relevant legislation

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the nursery and meet occupancy and financial objectives

  • Deliver a curriculum that is creative, stimulating and fun which facilitates the intellectual, emotional, physical, social and where appropriate, spiritual development of each child in line with the EYFS Framework and British Values

  • Maintain full records of pupil progress – attendance, pastoral and academic

  • Be fully compliant with an up-to-date Paediatric First Aid certificate, First Aid at Work Certificate and Food Hygiene certificate

  • Full time – Monday to Friday, 52 weeks

  • 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

  • Salary - £25,000 to £30,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
