A Beautiful Morning at Bude Library

What an exciting morning we have had at Bude Library!

The children thoroughly enjoyed visiting Bude Library last week. They all demonstrated brilliant listening skills and making sure they stopped, looked and listened when they came across a road.

Early Years Manager, Tahira White says: "The children caught the bus to the library and on the way back to the setting due to the weather forecast. While on the bus they sang 'wheels on the bus' and pointed out different things they could see outside.

The librarians warmly welcomed the children and had organised a bug hunt and craft activities where the children had the choice to make a ladybird or bee. The children enjoyed playing with the toys and demonstrated good sharing skills and chose books to look at and read. They each chose a book to bring back to the nursery school.

The outing was completed with a bug story again the children remembered to listen and talk about what was happening on each page.

The children thanked the librarians for their help and they walked sensibly to the bus stop where they had a pit stop waiting for the bus to arrive and enjoying a snack. You should all be so proud of your children, they all did such a fabulous job.

Thank you for your support talking to your children about the outing over the weekend. If you have the chance please visit the library which is such a fantastic resource to have on our doorstep and the best gift you can give your child to read to them and instil a love for books. "
